Is Dark worth watching?
Yes, if you enjoy being confused on purpose. Dark is the most rigorously plotted time-travel story television has produced: every loop closes, every apparent inconsistency is deliberate, and the writers worked out the full structure before shooting the first season. Almost nothing is accidental.
The price is that it demands attention. Characters appear at three ages played by three actors, the same scene recurs from different vantage points seasons apart, and the show refuses to recap. Watch it in German with subtitles if you can; the dub flattens performances that carry a great deal of the information. Season two is where the structure becomes visible, and season three is where it pays.

FAQs about Where to Watch Dark
Should I watch it dubbed or subtitled?
Subtitled, if you can manage it. The German performances carry information the dub loses, particularly across the three actors playing each character at different ages, where vocal continuity is doing real work. Netflix defaults to the English dub in most regions, so change it in the audio menu before starting.
Do I need to take notes?
Most people end up wanting a family tree by mid-season two, and the show is designed to make you build one. Nothing is unresolvable without notes, but the pleasure comes from noticing rather than from being told, so avoid the wikis until you have finished; they spoil the structure comprehensively.
Is the ending satisfying?
Unusually so for this genre. The writers knew the destination before filming season one, so the finale resolves the mechanics rather than dodging them, and it lands an emotional note as well. Viewers who dislike it tend to object to the philosophy rather than to any loose ends.
