Movie Recommendation App Reviews
We tested the top recommendation apps so you don't have to.
This hub collects TasteRay's hands-on reviews of the recommendation and discovery apps competing for your attention, ranked and rated rather than just described. It's built for anyone tired of downloading an app based on its App Store screenshots alone. Each review covers what the app gets right, where it falls short, and who it actually suits. Reading one first can save a wasted download.

Questions about how TasteRay reviews apps
How does TasteRay test the apps it reviews?
By using them for the thing they claim to do: installing each one, running real searches, and seeing what it recommends on an ordinary evening. Reviews report what an app gets right, where it falls short, and who it actually suits, rather than restating its store listing.
TasteRay ranks itself here. Isn't that a conflict of interest?
It is, and the pages say so rather than hiding it. TasteRay is listed because leaving it out would be stranger, and it does not top every ranking: several lists put another app first where that app genuinely fits the category better. Read the pros and cons.
Why doesn't each app get a numeric score?
Because a single number hides the thing you need. A tracker and a recommender cannot share a scale, so the reviews publish ranked positions with explicit pros, cons, and a verdict instead. That also keeps the structured data honest: no rating is published that was never measured.
