Is Breaking Bad worth watching?
Yes, and it is the easiest recommendation in prestige television. Gilligan built the series around a single sentence about a man changing, and then actually delivered the change over sixty-two episodes without a wasted season. Unlike most shows of its era it also ends on purpose, which is why it survives rewatching.
The one caveat is pacing. Season one is short and season two takes its time, so the first ten hours are slower than the show's reputation suggests. From the back half of season two onward it accelerates and does not stop. If you have heard people describe it as relentless, they are describing seasons three to five.
